Mrs. Simpson Whyte was called to the Jamaican Bar in 2014 and the Anguillian Bar in 2019. Her years in practice have been spent in leading and supporting roles in criminal, civil and commercial litigation matters.

Biography
Mrs. Simpson Whyte’s commercial experience includes acting on behalf of financial institutions, insurance companies, investment companies, property management companies, and construction companies. Her areas of practice covers a broad array of litigation matters, including property claims, debt collection, labour disputes and contractual disputes.
Prior to joining our Chambers, Mrs. Simpson Whyte was a Legal Counsel in the Group Legal and Corporate Services Department at Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited, which provided legal services for all companies under the Group, namely Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited, Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited, Sagicor Investment Jamaica Limited, Sagicor Property Services Limited and the four hotels that were owned by Sagicor.
Mrs. Simpson Whyte played a pivotal role in creating the Human Resource Manual for the hotels and in advising the different entities on labour issues and personal injury matters. While at Sagicor, Mrs. Simpson Whyte prepared mortgage documents, leases, sale agreements, and service contracts.
Mrs. Simpson Whyte holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours from the University of Technology, Jamaica and is a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School (NMLS). She is also certified in Risk Management.
